Onfasprodil (MIJ821) was Novartis's NR2B-selective NMDA receptor antagonist for major depressive disorder with suicidal ideation. Novartis's FY2023 Form 20-F lists it in the table of changes to selected development projects with the entry 'Removed / Development discontinued'; the phase 2 study NCT04722666 was terminated with the reason 'Terminated by Novartis'. The compound has not been picked up elsewhere: the only later SEC reference is Firefly Neuroscience's 2026 10-K citing a 2023 EEG-biomarker collaboration as past work. The trials below are preserved as the program's evidence history; no evidence signal is assigned to a program the sponsor has stopped.
