Evidence outlook · lead readout

NCT06049810 · Psoriasis

The completed lead evidence has the design features that historically survive confirmatory trials: randomized, controlled, and adequately powered against a prespecified clinically accepted endpoint.

NCT06049810: After an initial response to picankibart, patients were randomized and blinded to either continue active treatment or switch to placebo; a hard, disease-defining skin-severity measure (PASI90) at Week 56 showed continued picankibart maintained response in about 90% of patients versus 38-52% after withdrawal to placebo (P<0.0001 for both comparisons).

Caveat: this result is taken from a company announcement or a news report of one, not from the trial registry or a peer-reviewed publication. Treat the figures as the sponsor's own statement, not as independently verified evidence.
