Leronlimab
Monoclonal antibody
Evidence outlook · lead readout
NCT02483078 · HIV
The completed lead evidence is positive, with design limits that temper confidence; the rationale below says which.
NCT02483078: The trial randomized 52 participants to leronlimab or placebo and used quadruple blinding, but its primary outcome was a viral-load biomarker rather than a hard clinical outcome. The primary comparison favored leronlimab and was statistically significant; however, the placebo-controlled comparison lasted only one week, after which all participants received open-label leronlimab, and the sample was small.
