ENHANCE-M (NCT04634500) · T2DM (Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus)

The completed lead evidence has the design features that historically survive confirmatory trials: randomized, controlled, and adequately powered against a prespecified clinically accepted endpoint.

ENHANCE-M (NCT04634500): This Phase 3 trial randomly assigned 200 people with type 2 diabetes to enavogliflozin or to dapagliflozin, with participants and investigators unaware of assignment. It was designed to show enavogliflozin was not worse than dapagliflozin at lowering HbA1c over 24 weeks, within a margin of 0.35 percentage points. It met that test: HbA1c fell by 0.80 percentage points on enavogliflozin against 0.75 on dapagliflozin, a difference of 0.04 points (95% CI -0.21 to 0.12).
