Dapagliflozin vs DWP16001
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

NCT00528372 · Phase 3 · completed
The study was randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, and included 1,067 enrolled participants, with 558 receiving short-term treatment; its primary HbA1c endpoint is an accepted disease-defining measure for type 2 diabetes. Results were mixed across the primary dose comparisons: 5 mg and 10 mg morning doses significantly outperformed placebo, while 2.5 mg did not, and the exploratory high-baseline-HbA1c group lacked a comparator.

NCT04634500 · Phase 3 · completed
This Phase 3 trial randomly assigned 200 people with type 2 diabetes to enavogliflozin or to dapagliflozin, with participants and investigators unaware of assignment. It was designed to show enavogliflozin was not worse than dapagliflozin at lowering HbA1c over 24 weeks, within a margin of 0.35 percentage points. It met that test: HbA1c fell by 0.80 percentage points on enavogliflozin against 0.75 on dapagliflozin, a difference of 0.04 points (95% CI -0.21 to 0.12).
