NCT03776175: Participants were randomized and triple-blinded across placebo, two monotherapy, and combination groups, with 99 participants overall. The combination significantly reduced the primary MRI-PDFF liver-fat measure versus placebo, but this was a surrogate imaging endpoint and the combination did not significantly outperform either monotherapy, so the findings provide moderate rather than strong evidence.
