Clobazam (Onfi)
Marketed by Lundbeck LLC and partners
NCT00518713 · Phase 3 · completed
The study randomly assigned 238 participants to low-, medium-, or high-dose clobazam or placebo, with participants, care providers, and investigators masked to treatment. Its clinical primary endpoint—percent reduction in drop seizures—was statistically better than placebo for all three doses, supporting a strong evidence grade.
Midazolam (Nayzilam)
Marketed by UCB
NCT01390220 · Phase 3 · terminated
This was a randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 201 patients, and the primary outcome, control of a seizure cluster with no recurrence, was reached significantly more often with midazolam than with placebo (72 of 134 patients vs 23 of 67, p=0.011).
