Head-to-head evidence
abrocitinib vs LW402
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

Marketed by Pfizer
NCT03349060 · Phase 3 · completed
A randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo-controlled phase 3 trial enrolling 387 participants with moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis. The co-primary endpoints (IGA response and EASI-75 at week 12) were both statistically significant for the 100 mg and 200 mg doses versus placebo, with large absolute differences (e.g. 43.8% vs 7.9% for IGA). The adequate sample size, blinded design, and positive hard clinical endpoints justify the strong evidence grade.

LW402
Developed by Shanghai Longwood Biopharmaceuticals
NCT07186387 · Phase 2 · completed
The trial was randomized and quadruple-blind, used a placebo control, and enrolled 144 participants; its primary endpoint was a clinical disease-response measure (EASI-50). Because the primary comparison result is not available, the study provides well-designed but incomplete evidence rather than evidence of a confirmed favorable effect.
