Readout
The moment a trial's results become known, typically via a sponsor announcement after the primary data are collected and analyzed.
A readout is when the question a trial was built to answer gets an answer: topline results in a press release, a conference presentation, or a journal publication. For an investigational drug, a pivotal readout is usually the single largest scheduled information event in its life.
Registry dates predict readouts only loosely. This site shows the registry's primary-completion estimates and labels them as estimates, because the announcement follows data collection by a sponsor-controlled interval, and both dates move.
