EASI-75
A responder threshold in atopic dermatitis trials: at least a 75 percent improvement in the Eczema Area and Severity Index from baseline.
EASI scores the extent and severity of eczema across four body regions. Rather than comparing average score changes, trials commonly report the share of patients achieving at least a 75 percent improvement from their own baseline; that share is the EASI-75 response rate. EASI-50 and EASI-90 mark the gentler and stricter thresholds.
Responder thresholds like this exist across diseases (PASI-75 in psoriasis is the same idea) and they shape how results read: a drug can look better or worse depending on which threshold a press release leads with, which is why the pre-specified primary endpoint matters more than the most flattering cut.
