This trial randomized 312 patients with mild Alzheimer's disease to one of three PM012 doses or the standard treatment donepezil, using double-dummy blinding so neither patients nor assessors knew which treatment was given, with cognitive and daily-living scales as the co-primary measures at 12 weeks. No results are posted yet, so it isn't known whether PM012 performed comparably to or better than donepezil.
