Ibalizumab · Trogarzo

Marketed by Theratechnologies and partners

Approved in HIVmonoclonal antibody
Weak signal

NCT02707861 · Phase 3 · completed

The study was nonrandomized, open-label, and had no comparator arm, so its results cannot reliably distinguish ibalizumab’s effects from those of the individualized background regimens or other factors. Its primary effectiveness endpoint was a short-term viral-load measure, and the reported results were descriptive rather than a controlled statistical comparison.

Semzuvolimab

Developed by United BioPharma

Phase 3 in HIVmonoclonal antibody
Partial signal

NCT04404049 · Phase 2 · status unknown

This is a small, open-label randomized study comparing two dosing schedules of add-on Semzuvolimab against standard therapy alone in people already on antiretroviral therapy. The primary measure is treatment-related side effects rather than a virologic or clinical outcome, and results are not yet available, so the evidence for Semzuvolimab's clinical benefit cannot yet be assessed.

Next expected readout: December 2026 · NCT04985890 (registry estimate)
