Head-to-head evidence
golimumab vs SAR441566
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

NCT00264537 · Phase 3 · completed
This trial was well designed -- randomized, fully blinded, and placebo-controlled with over 600 patients -- but its two main outcomes told different stories: the joint-damage (structural) outcome clearly favored golimumab plus methotrexate, while the joint-response (ACR50) outcome for the combined golimumab groups narrowly missed statistical significance against placebo, with only one of the individual dose comparisons reaching significance on its own. A well-designed trial with a split result on its co-primary outcomes does not qualify as strong evidence of benefit.

SAR441566
Developed by Sanofi
NCT06073093 · Phase 2 · completed
The study randomized 264 participants to four SAR441566 dose regimens or placebo and used triple masking of participants, investigators, and outcome assessors. Its primary endpoint was the clinical ACR20 response at week 12, but results have not been posted, so whether the endpoint was met or missed cannot be assessed.
Caveat: this result is taken from a company announcement or a news report of one, not from the trial registry or a peer-reviewed publication. Treat the figures as the sponsor's own statement, not as independently verified evidence.
