This was a randomized, quadruple-blind, active-controlled trial (n=222) comparing evogliptin against sitagliptin, both added to metformin. The prespecified non-inferiority comparison for the primary endpoint, HbA1c change at 24 weeks, was met: the between-group difference and its confidence interval stayed within the non-inferiority range.

This is a large, randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo-controlled trial using the standard glycemic control measure for diabetes as its primary endpoint, but no results have been posted yet, so whether the drug lowered HbA1c more than placebo is unknown.
