Head-to-head evidence

Eribulin mesylate vs Utidelone

Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

Eribulin mesylate

Marketed by Eisai and partners

Approved in HR+/HER2- Metastatic Breast Cancersmall molecule
Partial signal

NCT00337103 · Phase 3 · completed

Randomized, open-label, active-controlled phase 3 trial of eribulin versus capecitabine in advanced breast cancer, with hard clinical primary endpoints of overall survival and progression-free survival and a large sample size (1102 randomized). It is limited by being open-label, and the posted results give only medians and confidence intervals without p-values or hazard ratios: overall survival trended in favor of eribulin, while progression-free survival trended in favor of capecitabine, so the primary comparison is unclear.
