Head-to-head evidence
Darunavir vs Fosamprenavir
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

NCT00110877 · Phase 3 · completed
The study randomly assigned 604 participants to darunavir/ritonavir or an active lopinavir/ritonavir comparator, but it was open-label rather than blinded. Its primary endpoint was a surrogate virologic measure. Registry results were not posted at the time of grading; the key result shown was recovered from the cited external source.

NCT00296504 · Phase 3 · completed
This is an open-label, single-arm roll-over/extension study (APV30005) that continued fosamprenavir treatment in HIV patients who had completed earlier randomized trials (APV30001, APV30002, APV30003). No randomization, blinding, or control group was used, and the primary outcomes were descriptive safety and laboratory measures rather than a comparative efficacy endpoint. The extension design and lack of a comparator mean the results provide supportive long-term safety information but not comparative efficacy evidence.
