Head-to-head evidence
cagrilintide/semaglutide vs GZR18
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

cagrilintide/semaglutide · CagriSema
Developed by Novo Nordisk
NCT05394519 · Phase 3 · completed
This was a large, randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 1,200 patients using percentage body weight change, the standard efficacy measure for obesity treatment. CagriSema reduced body weight by 13.7% versus 3.4% on placebo, a 10.4-percentage-point difference (p<0.001), meeting the primary endpoint.

GZR18
Developed by Gan & Lee Pharmaceuticals
NCT06737042 · Phase 2 · completed
The study randomized 326 participants and used quadruple masking with placebo and tirzepatide comparator arms; its primary endpoint was the clinical outcome of percentage change in body weight. Because the primary comparison has not yet been reported, it cannot establish whether GZR18 met its efficacy objective.
Next expected readout: June 2027 · NCT07150975 (registry estimate)
