Head-to-head evidence

AT278 vs INS068

Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

AT278

Developed by Arecor Limited

Phase 1 in Type 2 Diabetespeptide
Partial signal

NCT05754424 · Phase 1 · completed

Every participant received AT278 and the active comparator insulin in random order, with neither participants nor staff knowing which was given at each visit, which is a solid design. But the trial measured a pharmacology lab readout rather than a real-world blood sugar or complication outcome. Registry results were not posted at the time of grading; the key result shown was recovered from the cited external source.

INS068

Developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals

Phase 3 in Type 2 Diabetespeptide
Partial signal

NCT05699408 · Phase 3 · completed

This Phase 3 trial randomly assigned 513 people with type 2 diabetes to insulin sudelidec or to insulin glargine, alongside their existing oral diabetes medicines. It was open-label, so treatment assignment was known throughout. HbA1c fell by 1.34 percentage points on insulin sudelidec against 1.37 on insulin glargine, a difference of 0.02 points (95% CI -0.14 to 0.18), meeting the prespecified test that it was not worse than glargine.

Caveat: this result is taken from a company announcement or a news report of one, not from the trial registry or a peer-reviewed publication. Treat the figures as the sponsor's own statement, not as independently verified evidence.
