This was a randomized, double-blind, active-controlled trial with 662 randomized maintenance-phase participants, including 265 assigned to depot 300/400 mg and 266 to oral aripiprazole. The primary clinical relapse endpoint was met: depot treatment was non-inferior to oral aripiprazole, with a difference of -0.64 percentage points and a 95% confidence interval of -5.26 to 3.99, below the prespecified 11.5% margin.
