Evidence grade

This site's design-quality verdict on a trial: strong, moderate or weak, shown as Reliable, Partial or Weak signal.

Every graded trial on this site gets one of three grades based strictly on how it was designed to prove its result: randomization, blinding, control, sample size, endpoint quality, and whether the pre-specified primary comparison succeeded. The grades surface as signal tiers: Reliable signal (strong), Partial signal (moderate), Weak signal (weak).

Two rules keep the grades honest. The reported response rate never moves a trial between grades, because a favorable number from an uncontrolled design is still uncontrolled. And a well-run trial whose primary result was null or mixed is capped at Partial signal, because good design alone is not evidence of benefit. The full rubric, with the reasoning per trial, is public.
