Head-to-head evidence
Nivolumab vs Sasanlimab
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

Nivolumab
Marketed by Bristol-Myers Squibb
NCT01673867 · Phase 3 · completed
This was a large randomized trial comparing nivolumab with active treatment, but it was open-label rather than double-blinded. The prespecified primary endpoint, overall survival, favored nivolumab and was statistically significant; however, the lack of blinding limits the strength of the evidence.
Next expected readout: December 2026 · NCT03527108 (registry estimate)
Sasanlimab
Developed by Pfizer
NCT04181788 · Phase 1/2 · completed
Phase 1/2 open-label study in advanced malignancies (155 participants). The primary endpoints are dose-limiting toxicities and pharmacokinetic exposure, reported descriptively; no efficacy hypothesis was tested as a primary comparison.
Next expected readout: October 2026 · NCT06447662 (registry estimate)
