Head-to-head evidence

netakimab vs vunakizumab

Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

Shared mechanism: IL-17 · full Psoriatic Arthritis pipeline

netakimab

Marketed by Biocad

Phase 3 in Psoriatic Arthritismonoclonal antibody
Reliable signal

NCT03598751 · Phase 3 · completed

This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 194 patients. The proportion of patients achieving a validated joint-response measure (ACR20) was overwhelmingly higher with netakimab than placebo, a gap large enough to leave no real doubt about the direction of the effect even though a formal statistical test was not reported in the source used.

Caveat: this result is taken from a company announcement or a news report of one, not from the trial registry or a peer-reviewed publication. Treat the figures as the sponsor's own statement, not as independently verified evidence.

vunakizumab

Developed by Jiangsu Hengrui Pharmaceuticals

Phase 3 in Psoriatic Arthritismonoclonal antibody
Partial signal

NCT05055934 · Phase 2 · completed

The study was randomized, quadruple-blind, placebo-controlled, and included 112 participants, using the clinical ACR20 improvement measure as its primary endpoint. Because the registry does not report whether the primary endpoint was met, the trial provides well-designed but currently incomplete evidence.

Reliable signal

NCT04839016 · Phase 3 · status unknown

This randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 660 patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis reported PASI 90 in 76.8% of patients on vunakizumab against 0.9% on placebo at week 12, with sPGA 0/1 in 71.8% against 0.4%, both standard measures of skin clearance.
