Milsaperidone (VHX-896) vs Ziprasidone
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

Milsaperidone (VHX-896)
Marketed by Vanda Pharmaceuticals
NCT06494397 · Phase 1 · completed
Every participant in this trial received both VHX-896 and iloperidone, just in a different order, so there is no separate group that shows what happens without VHX-896, and nobody was blinded to which drug was being given at each stage. The trial measured drug levels in the blood to compare the two products, not any change in psychiatric symptoms, and results have not been posted yet.
Ziprasidone
Marketed by Pfizer and partners
NCT00159770 · Phase 3 · completed
The study used randomization and active comparators but was open-label, with 290 participants, and its primary clinical endpoint was PANSS symptom change. No results are posted, so the primary endpoint cannot be classified as met or missed.
Next expected readout: February 2027 · NCT03781115 (registry estimate)
