Approved in Asthmamonoclonal antibody
Partial signal

NCT01691859 · Phase 3 · completed

This was an open-label, single-arm long-term extension of the prior MEA112997 trial, enrolling 347 participants who had received at least two doses in that study. Because there was no randomization, blinding, or control group, the primary safety endpoint was descriptive rather than a comparative efficacy test, although the explicit extension design provides follow-up evidence beyond the original randomized trial.

SB-240563

Marketed by GlaxoSmithKline

Approved in Asthmabiologic (registry-typed, subtype undisclosed)
Partial signal

NCT00292877 · Phase 2 · completed

The study randomized and double-blinded 20 participants for comparison with placebo, using a clinical primary endpoint based on prednisone reduction without clinical exacerbation. Because the registry contains no results, it is not possible to determine whether the primary endpoint was met; the small sample also limits the strength of the evidence.
