Loxapine (Adasuve)
Marketed by Lee's Pharmaceutical
NCT00628589 · Phase 3 · completed
The trial randomly assigned 344 participants to inhaled loxapine 5 mg, loxapine 10 mg, or placebo and used quadruple blinding of participants, care providers, investigators, and outcome assessors. Its primary clinical agitation measure was significantly improved with both loxapine doses compared with placebo (p=0.0004 and p<0.0001).
Risperidone (Rykindo)
Marketed by Luye Pharma Group
NCT02055287 · Phase 1 · completed
A non-randomized, open-label, four-dose pharmacokinetic study of Rykindo in 36 participants. With no randomization, no blinding, no comparator arm, and no results posted to the registry, this is weak evidence.
Next expected readout: December 2027 · NCT07047651 (registry estimate)
