Ezetimibe · Zetia
Marketed by Organon
NCT00092586 · Phase 3 · completed
This was a randomized, double-blind trial with a large sample (n=2,904) comparing ezetimibe plus a statin against a statin plus placebo. The primary endpoint, percent change in LDL cholesterol, was clearly met: ezetimibe produced a significantly larger reduction than placebo (p<.001).

Hyzetimibe
Developed by Zhejiang Hisun Pharmaceutical
NCT03413462 · Phase 3 · completed
The trial randomized 374 participants to HS-25 or placebo and masked participants, investigators, and outcome assessors. Its primary endpoint was the surrogate measure of percent change in LDL-C, and because no primary-outcome results or statistical comparison are available, whether the endpoint was met is unknown.
Caveat: this result is taken from a company announcement or a news report of one, not from the trial registry or a peer-reviewed publication. Treat the figures as the sponsor's own statement, not as independently verified evidence.
