Eltanexor
Developed by Karyopharm Therapeutics
NCT02649790 · Phase 1/2 · completed
The study was nonrandomized, open-label, sequential, and had no comparator arm; its estimated enrollment was 277 participants across multiple cancer indications. Although it included clinical endpoints such as response, progression-free survival, and overall survival, no primary endpoint results are posted.
Selinexor
Marketed by Karyopharm Therapeutics and partners
NCT03110562 · Phase 3 · completed
The trial randomized 402 participants to selinexor-based therapy or an active bortezomib/dexamethasone control, but treatment was open-label rather than blinded. Its hard clinical primary endpoint, independent-reviewer progression-free survival, was met, with a median of 13.93 versus 9.46 months and p=0.0075; participants in the control arm could later cross over to selinexor treatment after progression.
Next expected readout: December 2026 · NCT06822972 (registry estimate)
