Head-to-head evidence
efsubaglutide alfa vs elecoglipron
Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

efsubaglutide alfa
Developed by Shanghai Yinnuo Pharmaceutical Technology
NCT06732960 · Phase 2 · completed
The study was randomized, double-blind, and placebo-controlled, but each dose cohort was small, with approximately 10 participants per cohort and a 8:2 active-to-placebo allocation. Because the registry provides no primary endpoint results, it is not possible to determine whether the weight-loss comparison was met.
Next expected readout: November 2026 · NCT07163650 (registry estimate)
elecoglipron
Developed by AstraZeneca
NCT06579092 · Phase 2 · completed
This randomised, triple-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 310 adults living with obesity or overweight reported a 10.5% reduction in body weight on elecoglipron 75 mg against 0.6% on placebo at 26 weeks. Percent weight change is the measure regulators accept as the primary efficacy endpoint in obesity.
Next expected readout: April 2028 · NCT07775404 (registry estimate)
