Depemokimab

Marketed by GlaxoSmithKline

Approved in Asthmamonoclonal antibody
Partial signal

NCT04718389 · Phase 3 · completed

This was a large randomized, double-blind, active-controlled trial comparing depemokimab with mepolizumab or benralizumab, using the clinically meaningful primary endpoint of annualized clinically significant asthma exacerbations. The primary results were 0.57 versus 0.49 exacerbations per participant-year (rate ratio 1.16, 95% CI 0.98–1.38; p=0.079), but the record does not provide the non-inferiority margin, so it is not possible to confirm that the primary endpoint was met.

SB-240563

Marketed by GlaxoSmithKline

Approved in Asthmabiologic (registry-typed, subtype undisclosed)
Partial signal

NCT00292877 · Phase 2 · completed

The study randomized and double-blinded 20 participants for comparison with placebo, using a clinical primary endpoint based on prednisone reduction without clinical exacerbation. Because the registry contains no results, it is not possible to determine whether the primary endpoint was met; the small sample also limits the strength of the evidence.
