The trial randomized 617 participants to cariprazine 3 mg, cariprazine 6 mg, aripiprazole 10 mg, or placebo, with participants, investigators, and outcome assessors masked. The prespecified clinical primary endpoint, change in PANSS total score at week 6, was significantly improved with both cariprazine doses versus placebo (p=0.0044 and p<0.0001), supporting a strong evidence grade.
