Capmatinib

Marketed by Novartis and partners

Approved in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancersmall molecule
Weak signal

NCT04427072 · Phase 3 · terminated

This randomized, open-label trial compared capmatinib to docetaxel in patients with MET exon 14-mutant lung cancer, but enrolled only 22 participants (15 on capmatinib, 7 on docetaxel) before the sponsor terminated the study early. Median progression-free survival was numerically longer with capmatinib (6.1 vs 4.1 months), but the confidence intervals were wide and overlapping and no formal statistical test was reported, so this severely underpowered trial cannot reliably show whether capmatinib truly outperformed docetaxel.

Savolitinib · Orpathys

Marketed by AstraZeneca and partners

Phase 3 in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancersmall molecule
Partial signal

NCT05015608 · Phase 3 · completed

The trial randomized 216 participants to savolitinib plus osimertinib or active chemotherapy, but treatment was not blinded. Registry results were not posted at the time of grading; the key result shown was recovered from the cited external source.
