Azetukalner
Developed by Xenon Pharmaceuticals
NCT05614063 · Phase 3 · completed
This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase 3 trial in 380 adults with focal epilepsy. Both azetukalner doses produced a significantly greater reduction in monthly seizure frequency than placebo, 25 mg: -53.2% vs -10.4%; 15 mg: -34.5% vs -10.4%, meeting the trial primary comparison.

Ezogabine · Potiga
Marketed by GlaxoSmithKline
NCT00235755 · Phase 3 · completed
This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with approximately 180 participants per group. Its primary clinical seizure-frequency endpoint was statistically significant for both retigabine doses versus placebo, with the higher dose showing the larger reduction; the prespecified responder endpoint also significantly favored both doses.
