Apomorphine sublingual film (Kynmobi)

Marketed by Sumitomo Pharma

Approved in Parkinson's Diseasesmall molecule
Reliable signal

NCT02469090 · Phase 3 · completed

The study randomized 109 patients to apomorphine sublingual film or matching placebo in a quadruple-blind design, with 54 patients receiving apomorphine and 55 receiving placebo. The primary clinical motor-function endpoint was met: the MDS-UPDRS Part III score improved more with apomorphine than placebo at Week 12 (p=0.0002).

LY03009

Developed by Luye Pharma Group

Phase 1 in Parkinson's Diseasesmall molecule
Weak signal

NCT04593511 · Phase 1 · status unknown

This open-label, single-dose pharmacokinetic study compared four different formulations of LY03009 against each other in healthy volunteers, but included no placebo or inactive control arm and no blinding. No results have been posted, and because every arm receives active drug in a different formulation, this design cannot demonstrate a treatment effect once results are available.
