Head-to-head evidence

adalimumab vs CT-P17

Same mechanism, same race: design-graded trial evidence for both assets, with the grading rationale shown. Grades describe the quality of the evidence, never the merits of either security.

Approved in Rheumatoid Arthritismonoclonal antibody (fully human IgG1)
Reliable signal

NCT00195702 · Phase 3 · completed

This was a large, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial. More patients on adalimumab responded on the ACR20 joint-response measure than on placebo (about 61-63% vs about 30%, p<0.001 for both doses), and adalimumab also significantly slowed radiographic joint damage and improved physical function compared with placebo (p<0.001 for both).

CT-P17

Developed by Celltrion

Phase 3 in Rheumatoid Arthritismonoclonal antibody
Partial signal

NCT03789292 · Phase 3 · completed

The trial was a large randomized, quadruple-blind comparison of CT-P17 and Humira, with 324 participants per initial treatment group. Its primary clinical endpoint, ACR20 response at Week 24, had identical reported counts in both groups, but the registry does not state whether the prespecified statistical comparison met its criterion, so the result is unclear.
