ACC017

Developed by Jiangsu Aidea Pharmaceutical Group

Phase 1/2 in HIVsmall molecule
Partial signal

NCT06719310 · Phase 1/2 · completed

The first stage of this study randomly assigned patients to ACC017 or placebo under double-blind conditions, a strong design, and its primary endpoints include the proportion of patients reaching an undetectable HIV-1 viral load, a disease-defining measure for HIV therapy. However, results have not yet been posted, so whether the drug met that goal is not yet known.

Raltegravir · Isentress

Marketed by Merck & Co.

Approved in HIVsmall molecule
Reliable signal

NCT00293254 · Phase 3 · completed

This was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial with 351 patients, using HIV-1 RNA suppression - a regulator-accepted, disease-defining measure - as the primary endpoint. The raltegravir arm showed clearly higher suppression rates than placebo at both Week 16 and Week 48, with confidence intervals that do not overlap, indicating a statistically robust and clinically meaningful benefit.
