Developed by Mabwell Bioscience

Phase 2 in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseasemonoclonal antibody
Partial signal

NCT05803902 · Phase 1 · completed

The study was randomized and blinded with a placebo comparator, but it was conducted in healthy volunteers purely to check safety and dosing rather than to test whether the drug works in patients. Developed by Roche

Phase 3 in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Diseasemonoclonal antibody
Reliable signal

NCT05037929 · Phase 2 · completed

This was a large, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in 1,334 patients using exacerbation rate, a direct clinical outcome, as its primary measure. The every-two-weeks dosing arm reduced exacerbations by a statistically significant 15.4% versus placebo over 52 weeks.

Primary endpoint met for the every-two-weeks regimen only (Lancet: 15% reduction, p=0.0494); the every-four-weeks arm was not statistically significant. Caveat: this result is taken from a company announcement or a news report of one, not from the trial registry or a peer-reviewed publication. Treat the figures as the sponsor's own statement, not as independently verified evidence.
